About

The Veilwater Basin is a region of tropical lakes, sandy beaches and dense jungle north-west of the map's centre, where ancient ruins and freshwater lakes sit beneath natural limestone arches. Its lakes, fed by meltwater from the Albaneve Summits, are the largest surface water left untouched by the Shroud. It shares its longest border with the Revelwood and also touches the Albaneve Summits and the Nomad Highlands. The sixth and last region, it opens with Flame levels 8 and 9, and enemies here are levels 37 to 45 at most spots. The Drak, a clever and territorial lizardfolk faction found only here, guard their ancient temples and captured villages, and small bands of Scavengers fight them over territory. The Capybara and the boss Hydrak'Dal are also unique to the basin, while Crabs and Water Reptiles are the commonest wildlife. It has more fishing spots than any other region and the only pearl clams, and Algae and Algae Buds are gathered nowhere else. The Fisher, Captain Melville Fontane, is rescued at Ol' Captain's Rest.
