Capybara

Animal found in Veilwater Basin.

The Capybara is a small mammal of the Veilwater Basin that flees rather than fights. It can be found at Capybara Oasis, southwest of the Veilwater Basin Ancient Spire, and on the northwestern shore of Starfish Shores. Each one killed drops 5 to 8 Capybara Bristles, which go into the Bloodfeather armour at the Hunter and Common Fishing Bait at the Fisher. Taming takes Capybara Food Bait and three successful pet interactions; at a base the animal then needs shelter, a Farm Animal Pillow and a Capybara Feeder stocked with Capybara Food, all made at the Farmer. Kept that way it produces bristles on its own and holds up to ten until they are collected, and a pair given a spare bed can breed a Baby Capybara. It takes 130% damage from Fire and Shroud, 70% from Ice.
