Camps are abandoned work sites and shelters: the Carpenter's and the Hunter's old camps, caravan camps, and the excavation camps of the obelisk researchers. Some keep equipment a quest asks for, such as the Masonry Tools at the Research Camp in the Nomad Highlands and the Loom at Weaver's Cottage. The excavation camps of the Albaneve Summits hold map pieces named after their giant skeletons, Mae, Ony and Polaris. Captain Melville Fontane, the Fisher, is rescued at his old fishing spot, Ol' Captain's Rest in the Veilwater Basin, which the quest Emerald Shores And Sanguine Seas sends the player to search.
