About

Shroud Lairs are winding tunnels full of Fell, and Archaic Essence, the fuel of the Gem Forges, is mined from patches and harvested from bulbs inside them. The quest Finding And Using A Gem Forge sends the player into a Springlands lair to find where the intruders came from, and a chest there holds four Archaic Essence I and a Gem of Bleeding. Weapons such as the Abysswalker, the Voidcaller and the Winged Shadow come from nowhere else: each can turn up in 15 lair chests. A Fell Sicklescythe guards the lair in the Veilwater Basin.
