Lady Leclair, Paulette by first name, is the Alchemist Assistant. No survivor sends you after her: Dark Rites begins with a hidden attic in the Imperial Gardens of Pikemead's Reach, where its owner had used her "Ritual of Reunion" to try to reunite someone with a dead loved one. A note in her home at Glennwood's End in the Revelwood shows she changed the incantation to slip into the realm of the dead and find eternal life, and she is retrieved from the basement it mentions. She shares the 183 recipes of Balthazar's workshop and gives a single quest, Hollow's Eve Decor.
