A level 1 base quest from the Blacksmith: give Oswald Anders a sheltered bed. It has no item reward, but some recipes only craft while their crafter is sheltered.

    Build A Sheltered Bed For Oswald Anders

    level 1 recommended

    Build a bed inside a roofed room your survivors can reach. If it goes to someone else, craft a Summoning Staff by hand from 1 Twigs and aim it at the bed to reassign it to Oswald Anders.

    The Blacksmith, Oswald Anders, requires a roof over his head and a sheltered bed to do his best work.

    Certain crafting recipes require shelter as a condition. Therefore, it's advisable to keep your craftspeople sheltered and safe at all times.

    To shelter your survivors, craft a suitable bed. Place the bed in a protected area easily accessible by survivors. It will automatically be assigned to the nearest free survivor upon being placed. If you wish to re-assign the bed, equip your Summoning Staff and use it while aimed at the bed.

    This quest will reopen to notify you once your survivors are no longer sheltered.
