Linen is spun from Flax on three machines, and each trades speed against Flax differently. The Hand Spindle is quickest, one Linen every 10 seconds, but costs 2 Flax apiece; the Spinning Wheel takes 30 seconds a piece and needs only 1 Flax; the Spinning Machine turns 10 Flax into 15 Linen over 240 seconds, the lowest Flax cost per piece. Its 100 uses are dominated by armour, from the Adventurer, Explorer and Mage sets to Ranger, Sharpshooter and Tank pieces. It also goes into Fabric, Padding, the Loom, gliders and backpacks.
