The Alchemist's Rumors

The Alchemist sends you to the Hill of Scavengers in the Springlands to kill the Scavenger Matron. It's worth 100 XP, rewards the Scavenger Matron Helmet and unlocks the Improved Grappling Hook.

    Investigate The Troubling Rumors

    At

    The Hill of Scavengers is about 240 m south-west of the Mistbury Catacombs and 260 m east of Moth's Grove.

    Journal

    The Alchemist has heard rumors of strange happenings in the Springlands. A group of Scavengers are abusing the Elixir and conducting cruel and unusual experiments.

    Seek out their camp and smite them down to unlock an improved tool.

    Craft The Improved Grappling Hook

    At the Carpenter, the Improved Grappling Hook takes 1 Shroud Core, 2 Shroud Liquid, 3 Shroud Spores and a regular Grappling Hook.

    Slaying the Scavenger Matron at the Hill of Scavengers unlocked knowledge to craft an Improved Grappling Hook.

    The improved tool will require less stamina to use. Craft it with the help of the Carpenter.

If you don't have a Grappling Hook, the Workbench makes one from 4 Metal Scraps, 7 String and 10 Shroud Spores.
