How it counts
A recipe makes a set number at a time, so the calculator rounds each step up to whole crafts: 12 Simple Fishing Bait from a recipe that makes 5 is 3 crafts and 15 bait, and the Critter Parts and Plant Fiber count for all 3. Everything that has a recipe of its own is broken down too, until only gathered or bought materials are left.
43 items can be made more than one way (Tar alone has 27 recipes). The first recipe is used unless you pick another, and "Have it" stops the breakdown at anything you already own. Groups such as Any wood take whichever of their materials you have.
The crafting stations list every recipe each station and NPC crafter makes.
